Interesting...
The first Adam was put in a garden, to cultivate and keep it.
God’s intent for Adam — and his offspring — was to “garden’ the whole earth… with Eden as the starting point.
But Adam failed… and the entire world became wild and
difficult to tame.
The second Adam, Jesus, came to undo the ruin the first man brought upon God’s creation.
To accomplish this, Jesus had to suffer, die, and be raised to new life.
Interestingly,
Jesus entered into His suffering in a garden… Gethsemane.
And His first appearance after the resurrection was in a garden… in fact, Mary — when she saw Him — mistook Him for a gardener.
But in a sense, He was a gardener.
Because He is 'The Gardener' who is leading the restoration of the world.
And we’re called to garden with Him in the joy of His resurrection power.
