Sobering day, Good Friday
is.
It’s the day we remember that the only man without sin, Jesus Christ, was unjustly put do death on a Roman cross.
But it’s a day of gratitude and hope, too.
Because though Christ’s death was unjust, it was used by God to pay the penalty for our own waywardness.
Which in
effect…
Brings us forgiveness…
Restores us to the Father…
And puts us in a position to serve God according to His original design.
Together, these truths make Good Friday more than just a day to remember Christ’s death.
They
make it a day to move forward in faithfulness.
Do guilt and shame keep you from believing God can use you to advance His kingdom?
Now is the time to put these behind you…
As the Bible says…
“He was handed over to die because of our sins, and He was raised to life to make us right
with God” (Rom.4:25).
And being made right, you are now free to do the good things He’s prepared for you to do.
