Yesterday, Christians in Egypt had their world rocked as two churches
were bombed by terrorists.
I saw an amazing video from after the attack.
It showed dozens of Coptic believers gathered outside one of the churches boldly confessing the Nicene Creed.
It was a stirring sight… especially when I realized they all seemed to have the Creed memorized.
As I watched the video, I thought about what an appropriate way this was for Christians to respond to tragedy.
What do we typically do when our world gets turned upside down?
The temptation is to get all by ourselves and wonder how God could allow such a thing to happen.
A much better response is to unite
with others who share your convictions and encourage one another in the faith.
We all have times when our world is upended in one way or another… and our purpose in life is thrown into confusion.
When this happens to you, look for ways to respond that will build your faith and encourage you to move forward.
