When others don't get what you're doing...

Published: Sat, 04/08/17

There will likely be people around you who don't understand the things God calls you to do.

... Especially if those things involve sacrifice.

Consider Jesus:

When Jesus entered Jerusalem on what we know as Palm Sunday, the people praised Him.

They thought He was their deliverer who would lead them in revolt against Rome.

But Jesus rode into Jerusalem for another reason.

He came to lay down down His life to save humanity from sin.

As the events leading up to the crucifixion unfolded, the masses failed to comprehend this... so they abandoned Him.

Similarly:

As you take up your own cross and follow Jesus, there will be people who don't get it.

But taking up your cross is the only way to fulfill the purpose God has for you (Mt.16:24-26).
