Planning vs. Plans

Published: Mon, 04/03/17

General Dwight Eisenhower once said...

"Plans are nothing; planning is everything."

Confused?

The idea behind the quote is this:

In the thick of battle, don't expect anything to go as you planned; but, the process of planning is essential to prepare you for the decisions you will face.

Wise approach --

Not just for military campaigns, but living a dominion-oriented life.

A dominion-oriented life involves making plans and taking action.

But be ready... things will change, forcing you to alter what you had in mind.

Does this mean your plans are a waste?

Not at all. God will use them to open your eyes to what's next... if you're prayerful.

So make plans and move forward.

But do it humbly.

As James put it, don't boast about your plans by saying, "Today or tomorrow we shall go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit" (Jas. 4:13).

God may have another agenda.

And that's okay.
