Does your current situation force you to partake in
unethical activity?
If so, it's a good time to create an exit plan and start heading in a new direction.
Awhile back one of my sons had quite a responsible job for a young man.
It was challenging, paid
well... and great for his resume too.
But there was a problem.
The more responsibility he took on, the more he could see his company was involved in unethical practices.
So he
resigned.
I was proud of him.
What he did wasn't easy.
He walked away from a large salary. And he also had to figure out how to get himself back home from an extremely dangerous foreign
country!
But he did the right thing.
It's never a good idea to be an accomplice to unethical actions.
We may find all kinds of ways to rationalize staying in such a position.
But the truth to remember is...
God advances His kingdom through righteous activity... not money, power, manipulation, fraud or anything of the sort.
It's obedience to God's ethical standards that He blesses and uses to
prosper His work.
See Deuteronomy 28 for more on this.
The ethics of a situation is a strong indicator of what God may be calling you away from... or calling you to.
