Unexpected Servants

Published: Fri, 02/10/17

God calls Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, His servant (Jer.25:9).

How could that be?

How can a pagan king of a brutal land be God's servant?

Because God is sovereign over all men...

And He uses all kinds of people -- believing and unbelieving, wicked and righteous -- to bring about His purpose.

Remember that the next time there are those in your life who aren't treating you as you think they should.

And instead of feeling offended and thinking vindictive thoughts, consider how God might be fulfilling His purpose.

Ask Him if He's using the situation to reveal something He wants you to change or do.

I suspect God brings unexpected servants into our lives all the time.

We just need to recognize them as such.

And realize He brings them not for our harm, but for our good.
