Answering God's Call to Worship

Published: Sat, 02/04/17

Most worship services begin with a what's known as a "Call to Worship."

This is more than just a formal way to start the service.

It is God calling us away from the labor, burdens, and failings of the past week... to rejoice in His goodness and sovereignty as we rest in Him.

It is His way of keeping our lives -- and our callings -- in perspective as we see the larger work He is doing through His people by His grace.

And it is the way He renews us for work of service He has for us in the coming week.

Answering God's call to worship is the best thing you can do as you consistently seek to fulfill your part in the Dominion Mandate.

Because using the gifts He has given you -- in a way that glorifies Him -- begins with worship.

Answering God's call to worship sets the rhythm of those whose lives are oriented toward building His kingdom.
