What Bible verse would you put on your truck?

Published: Fri, 02/03/17

When I saw it, I had to laugh.

It's not that I haven't seen Bible references on trucks before.

But I had never seen Deuteronomy 23:12...

Which reads:

"You shall also have a place outside the camp and go out there..."

Now...

To get an idea why this made me laugh, it might be helpful to see the two verses that follow...

Which are:

"...and you shall have a spade among your tools, and it shall be when you sit down outside, you shall dig with it and shall turn to cover up your excrement."

Now this might seem like an odd portion of scripture to put on a vehicle.

But actually, it's the perfect reference for a truck owned by a septic company.

It's so fitting, it makes you chuckle.

Granted...

Most people will have no idea what the verse refers to when they see it.

And... having it on the truck probably doesn't do a lot to attract business.

But, there are some people who likely look it up out of curiosity.

And a few who appreciate it.

I did.

Because if nothing else...

It shows whoever is responsible for having this verse on the company truck, has made a connection between work in the septic business and the Bible.

Well done.

And... it raises a good question...

If you were to choose a passage in the Bible that serves as the basis of what you do, what would it be?

What verse would you put on your truck?
