Friends

I got together with a friend for breakfast this morning.

It was a good time... with good conversation.

I left encouraged... and newly challenged to live my life for the Lord.

The time reminded me of the quote from the Dutch statesman and theologian Abraham Kuyper who said:

"He is your friend who pushes you nearer to God."

So true.

The only thing I'd add is:

"He is your friend who pushes you nearer to God... and encourages you to be faithful in your calling."

I hope you have friends who spur you on as you seek to fulfill your role in the dominion mandate.

If you don't, find some.

"Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (Pr.27:17).
