I was on the road yesterday.
Along the way, I passed by a lot of swamps.
I also went through downtown Orlando.
And it got me thinking...
The only reason a city like Orlando exists is because its founders had a vision for it.
It started there. In someone's imagination.
... In what some have called "the theater of the mind."
And that's the way it is for anything developed in this world...
Somebody begins to have a vision for it...
And then they get to work.
Which raises a question...
Do YOU have a vision for how God might use you in this world?
It's something a lot of people struggle with.
And if they have any vision at all, God
often has little part of it.
If you're among them, go back to the beginning of the Bible...
... Where God makes it clear that His purpose for you is to oversee and develop the small portion of the world He's entrusted to you (Gen.1:28; 2:15)...
... And prayerfully consider how that applies to the situation you are in RIGHT NOW.
As you do, He is sure to give you a bigger vision for your life.
And once that vision fills in and takes hold, the next thing to do is to
take action to make it reality.
It's your part in building what St. Augustine called. "The City of God."
Or what the Bible calls, "the new Jerusalem" (Rev.21:2).
