Discouraged by the level of influence you seem to be having?
Don't be...
Many years ago my wife baked bread for our family.
It was part of her regular weekly routine.
And with a family of six boys she made a lot of bread.
I remember when she rolled out the dough the loaves seemed so small.
They look like tiny little tubes.
But once the yeast did its job, the loaves were huge... heaping over the sides of their
pans.
This always encouraged me because it reminded me what Jesus said in one of His parables about His kingdom (Mt.13:33)...
It's like leaven... it starts out small... but works itself out in a big way.
Now that's encouraging to remember if the growth of God's kingdom seems insignificant to you.
… And it's especially encouraging if the effects of your own efforts seem small.
Keep it in mind...
God's kingdom expands
slowly.
... The Lord isn't in a hurry like we are...
And your acts of faithfulness have much more influence then it seems.
Their impact is working itself out... slowly, but surely.

"Sad is the day for any man when he becomes absolutely satisfied with the life he is living, the thoughts that he is thinking and the deeds that he is doing; when there ceases to be forever beating at the
doors of his soul a desire to do something larger which he seeks and knows he was meant and intended to do." ~Phillips Brooks
