499 years ago today a German monk changed the world by simply tacking a list of 95 theses on the church door in Wittenberg.
There's no way Martin Luther could have known how far reaching this action would be felt.
All he intended to do was start some debate over issues of concern in the church.
But this small step
of faithfulness led to the Protestant Reformation and helped shape Western Civilization.
It all began when Luther went through his own personal crisis, leading to an unshakable faith and confidence in the Scriptures.
And... as God worked His grace in this simple monk, Luther couldn't help but take the truths God was showing Him and apply them to his world.
Today the Lord continues to operate the same way.
... God works out what He works in...
And as He works in your life, be sure and work out what it means in your own circumstances.
You never know... your own acts of faithfulness may affect the world for centuries to
come.

"Sad is the day for any man when he becomes absolutely satisfied with the life he is living, the thoughts that he is thinking and the deeds that he is doing; when there ceases to be forever beating at the doors of his soul a desire to do something larger which he seeks and knows he was meant and intended to do." ~Phillips Brooks
