I stayed up way later than I should have.
Waaay later.
But I'm glad I did.
Watching Clemson win the national college football championship in the last second of the game made it worth it.
But even more worthwhile was listening to Coach Dabo Swinney reveal
the key to Clemson's victory.
In his emotional postgame comments, Dabo said that it was love... specifically, the love his team's players had for one another... that enabled them to find a way to win.
Really?
Love is what made the difference... making it possible for Clemson to beat top-ranked Alabama?
Definitely not what you'd expect to hear.
But as you think about it... it makes sense.
Love has the power to bring out the best in us...
Creating more focus, effort, and sacrifice than we'd ever be able to produce without it...
Leading to astounding
results.
... And that's a good thing to remember as you consider your own calling.
As you think about the place God has you... and what He's has given you to do... you may feel like an amateur, whose effort will amount to little.
But when you pursue your calling out of love, you can expect the best...
... And an outcome far better than what could ever be accomplished by your ability alone.
