Sometimes people don't embrace the Dominion Mandate because they have false ideas about it.
For example:
Some think that those who pursue the Dominion Mandate want to strip the world of its beauty and pave the whole planet.
But this definitely is not the case.
At the heart of the Dominion Mandate is a call to cultural responsibility.
And God defines what that responsibility looks like in Scripture.
And when we look carefully, we see He says some very pertinent things...
Like:
"Woe to those who add house to
house and join field to field, Until there is no more room, So that you have to live alone in the midst of the land" (Is.5:8)!
Verses like this make it clear that if the Dominion Mandate is followed in a biblical way, there's no concern the world will become nothing but shopping malls and parking lots.
No, in fact when the Dominion Mandate is fulfilled it will look more like a beautiful
garden-city... which is the New Jerusalem (Rev.21-22).
A brilliant city filled with glory... one of crystal water, precious stones, and leaves and fruits.
A place you certainly would want to live.
And we are called today to make it such a place by applying His Word in the power of the Spirit wherever He has called
us.
